Greetings and welcome!
Since its establishment in 1954, the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA) has achieved remarkable growth, partnered with Korea’s economic growth, as the renowned professional accountancy organization that specializes in accounting, auditing, taxation and business advisory services.
To elevate Korea to a more advanced rank, more efforts should be made into improving accounting transparency across the economy and society. Ensuring accounting transparency is not an option, but a “must” in every sector of the society.
We firmly believe that “sound accounting makes economic fundamentals sound”. To fulfill our social duty of accounting transparency, the KICPA is committed to equipping our members with the highest standards of professional competency and ethics, thereby being able to contribute to improving accounting transparency not only in the private sector but in the public sector, serving as a driving force to make the economy and society maintain sustainable growth.
In addition, in response to the rapidly changing global economy, the KICPA has been striving to converge professional standards with the global standards and upgrade the quality of our members’ works, thereby contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of Korea’s accounting and auditing industry, eventually ending up with increasing the national competitiveness.
I will accompany our 26,000 professional members on the journey of Korea growing to an economic powerhouse and an advanced nation.
