Held the 68th Anniversary Ceremony and Vision Declaration Ceremony
Declared 'Accounting Transparency Leading National Competitiveness' as VISION 2030 and Revealed New CIㅁ The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants(President Young-Sik Kim) announced on the 12th that KICPA held the 68th anniversary ceremony and the VISION 2030 declaration ceremony(photo) at Lotte Hotel Seoul Sapphire Ballroom at 11 a.m. on Dec. 9th.ㅁ At the event, Vision 2030 was declared 'Accounting transparency leading to national competitiveness' and a new Corporate Identity(CI) was unveiled.KICPA also declared ▶Knowledge, ▶Integrity, ▶Collaboration, ▶Public Interest, and ▶Accountability, which newly interpreted the initials of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accounts(KICPA), as the top five core values.ㅁ Meanwhile, the new CI, which was introduced on the same day, is a wordmark logo symbolizing the KICPA's new vision of "Accounting transparency leading national competitiveness." The process of granting trust by KICPA was shaped with a 'V' sign, and the image of rise and leap was emphasized by symmetricalizing both ends of the font through the initial 'K' and the inverted form of 'A'.At the same time, 'K'(Korea) also contains the meaning of increasing national competitiveness, and 'A'(Accounting) also contains the meaning of enhancing accounting transparency.   • 2023 MonICPA-KICPA Meeting(February 8, 2023) On February 8, 2023, a meeting between MonICPA and KICPA were held at the KICPA building under the participation of both organizations' President, CEO,  Vice President and other executives.At the meeting, KICPA explained about its history, organization and new vision & CI as well as Korea's Accounting and Audit Reform.A Q&A session on Korea's Accounting and Audit Reform followed.KICPA has regularly invited MonICPA since 2005 to provide educational services on Accounting, Auditing, and Taxation in Korea, and as MonICPA has invited KICPA to Mongolia at 2019, both organizations had the chance to meet and hold a meeting at MonICPA.This meeting was held after communication between both organizations came to a halt during the pandemic.<Left: KICPA President, Right: MonICPA President><All Executives> 2023.02.13
  • (Discussion)Meeting with JICPA to exchange views on projects at IAASB On November 2, 2022, the KICPA met with the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants(JICPA) online to exchange their views on topics under discussion at International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB). Started with each President's opening speech, followed by presentations by Koichiro Kuramochi, chairman of the IAASB Working Group of JICPA, and Sachiko Kai, Board Member of IAASB, all participants discussed matters relating to assurance over sustainability reporting and audits of less complex entities. In order to be trusted, sustainability disclosure must be subject to high-quality, independent, external assurance. This vision addresses the importance of global standards, regulation that supports decision-useful disclosure, and the value of an interconnected approach to sustainability and financial information reporting and assurance.IFAC's State of Play is a comprehensive survey of the current landscape regarding sustainability disclosure and assurance. It covers the extent to which companies have obtained assurance, the standards of assurance they are using, and which companies are providing the assurance.   • (Jeju Group)The webinar "ISSB Exposure Draft IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures" The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants (JICPA), and the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA) hosted a webinar on the topic of "ISSB Exposure Draft IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures". The Exposure Draft was published by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) in March 2022, and the deadline for submitting comments on the Exposure Draft is July 29, 2022.The webinar was held on June 23, 2022 (17:00pm-18:30pm Seoul/Tokyo, 16:00pm-17:30pm Singapore, 9:00am-10:30am London) via ZOOM.Speakers were the Vice-Chair of the ISSB, Sue Lloyd, and the ISSB technical staff, Caroline Clark-Maxwell.
